Chocolate Pudding Cheese Pie

Last week as I was preparing my grocery shopping list, I realized I do have staples that I can use and reduce my weekly shopping budget a little.  I had a pie shell to be baked and a package of instant sugar free Jello pudding mix.  I remembered this recipe and we had it for lunch on Sunday.

It is easy to make and very tasty.

1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened

2 and 1/2 cups milk

1 large 6 3/4 oz regular Jello Instant pudding & pie filling (chocolate)  or 2 small package of sugar free instant chocolate Jello pudding & pie filling

1 baked pie shell or graham cracker crust pie shell

Beat cream cheese until very soft.  Gradually add 1/2 cup of milk and blend until smooth.  Add remaining milk and pie filling mix.  Beat at lowest speed of electric mixer until blended – about 1 minutes.  Pour at once into prepared shell.  Chill at least 3 hours.  Garnish with cool whip and chocolate shavings if desired.

This is a great weekend dessert that can be made ahead of time and is enjoyed by everyone.
